i just rebuilt my d16a6 and put titanium dual valve springs and retainers on it, along with a stage 2 cam, the cam's only good to 7500 rpm;s but i'm just curious, how high do you think i could rev the engine without hurting it? bottom end is bored 20 over, and engine only has 4000 miles on it.

no, nothing to the bottom end as far as rods and crank, just forged pistons 20 over, see, i'm not sure if the car can handle higher revs, i've heard it's mostly in the head work, but just not sure.

 

put ti on a dyno, see where it stops making power, then rev to that.

i took my old d16a6 to 8k + a couple times with stock valvetrain and crane stage 2 cam but it was by accident lol.

 

i took my sohc to 8500 on bottle, it loved it. get a b16 and rev to 10,500, its fun
