What exactly do I tell the dealer to get the reflash...
my car was just made and it suffers from rev hang and sort of bucks when its cold out....what exactky do I tell them? I odnt think my cars in the vin range either
All you have to do is test drive it and demonstrate the problem.
If they dont fix it, call their HQ and bitch at them for being ********* at customer service.
That is what I am going to do if they dont take care of my clutch noise problem.

Not All the Vehicles need a Reflash.
Ask them about a service bulletin that was issued by American Honda on August 9th, 2006 and "I was wondering if that bulletin applies to my vehicle."
They than plug up your ecu to their HDS software to search for the update.
If the update is found, the update would take about 30-45minutes.
I got mine done last week and it feels alot better.

From what I've heard is that if your VIN isnt in range, they won't do it because Honda won't re-imburse them for the work. If your car was built after June, you should have the reflash. There will still be rev hang but just not as bad as those of us who got their Si's earlier
wow i cant imagine how it is with cars built before june
mine was built a couple weeks ago and is noticable ahh well

EVERY Si will BUCK when cold. NO matter if you have the up to date reflash. I have the newer reflash and my car still bucks. Its all about emissions and the DBW. Honda will never get it right.

I would not think so, since it is already a known issue, and HOnda already offers a reflash for it.

I had the same question, my VIN is 6H71XXXX (late June early very early July build date). The service manager at my dealership told me to just bring it in and have them "plug it in " and search for the update. I did not get any questions, being that my buddy manages the dealership.....and he called the head of service in advance of me calling him.
I just have not found the time to take the car in.........my buddy said that he would take it in for me (as he lives two houses down from me). I was going to take him up on the offer, but I don't like the idea of one of the car jockey's driving my car down to the service shop........which is at a different location from the main showroom where my buddy works. I won't even let my wife drive my car.....I trust my buddy as he is not the type that would beat on my car. Heck, he even gave me a S2000 take-home for a weekend when I was thinking about a S2000...... before I decided on the Si.

Some dealerships don't even have it yet. So give it time.. I am just getting to schedule mine. They may not put it out for all the vins that have the problem because they want to get the first ones done... well first.
