That's great! So where are hose pictures he asked about? I don't seem to see any in those threads of yours.

You people are getting freggin crazy. Y'all were newbies here at one time, and I am sure that all of you used the search function right away when you first came to this board, right? Get over it people. I am sure that damn near every question that is asked on this board has been asked at least once in the couple of years this board has been up. Maybe we should just have one big Honda FAQ board instead of a message board. I mean, I would hate to have to answer something more than once.

well here is the pics and it was discused quite a bit in the past couple of days/weeks. here is the topic: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=135866

as he said he wanted real pics and there are none as discussed in the topics nick posted. even the ones in the post above are most likely grossly inaccurate.

Thanks Dustin. I have no problem talking about the same thing once in a while. But the last 2003 Accord "anyone have pictures?" thread was 4 days ago. Obviously things get repeated and discussed a few times and thats fine with me, but lately they have been recurring way too frequently. I am not usually one to complain either.

well how are we even supposed to post pictures when THERE ARE NONE!!!!!!!
All this was discused in previous posts that nick posted and the other one that I posted as well. We are not being a-holes like you say. It ust gets real annoying when people ask the same question that was asked a couple of days before. Expecially when the topic is still on the first page.

So what? It was asked 4 days ago! Yippy! This guy registered yesterday and the other topics are on page 3! Think about it people. You are new to a message board, and you want to know something. Do you search through pages of threads, until you find it, or do you simply ask it. Give the newbie a break.

Yeah, it get's old answering the same questions, but does it hurt you any to do it? If it does, don't answer!

Personally, I don't think it is newbie questions that are a plague to this board, it is the older members who complain every time a new bie asks something.

90% of the people that come through here as newbies are not looking to learn and understand they are looking to be served hand and foot to their questions.

Noone should be subject to that, rude if you ask me.

Do your freinds come to hang at your place open the fridge and ask you where the jelly is? I bet if they do the first thing out of your mouth would be "Look, you have the ability to help yourself"

or someone off the street knocks on your door 'um yeah i noticed you were painting your house, where do i go and get the stuff i need to do that, how can i do it etc....'

There is a limit to being hospitable, and people are constantly pushing the limit. I will only go so far before my limit is reached and then 'Your on your own buddy'

IMHO, maybe this is so b/c i have always lived alone and done things alone (mostly) It could be just my Independence speaking.

You seem to have forgot something, this is not your house! This is a public message board where people can come to ask questions and get answers! Not everyone is the all knowing like the rest of you. Without people asking questions, we have no message board! If you don't want to "serve" people, then why are any of you here? I mean, we don't need this message board to get answers, we can find them elsewhere on the internet, we can find them at our local shops. Some of you seem to think that this message board is some band of close friends, and that if someone new tries to make their way in, you must shut them down quickly.

You seem to have forgot something, this is not your house!
nor is it yours, we are part of this 'house'

This is a public message board where people can come to ask questions and get answers!
and like all public places have rules and regulations, and codes of conduct that must be followed so there is no ensuing chaos. Just because something is public and people are 'free' that does not leave them exempt from responsibility and or respectability/common courtesy

Not everyone is the all knowing like the rest of you.
I never said or thought of being omnicient, if i dont know something i have always said or tried to help others to the answers they seek, I hope this remark is not focused on certian individual(s)

Without people asking questions, we have no message board! If you don't want to "serve" people, then why are any of you here?
ANd without regulars and the structure we provide there is no board either, this is a two way street. Oh great accord master, where beest thine great efforts of servitude? Without trying to be fecicious you have not been around to 'help' other than lend your 'opinion' such as in this thread

I mean, we don't need this message board to get answers, we can find them elsewhere on the internet, we can find them at our local shops. Some of you seem to think that this message board is some band of close friends, and that if someone new tries to make their way in, you must shut them down quickly.
i have no animosity towards new members, but there is a difference between a 'new member' and a 'n00b'

If someone is not willing to first help themselves and understand/learn, then there is noway in HELL you, I, nor anyone else can help this person b/c of their inability/unwillingness to make and effort or learn.

Thanks for your intelligent reply. It must have taken you all day to think of that one!

Misa,

You say I have not been around to help, however, my help is not always seen on this. I get lots of emails from people from this board asking me questions becuase they do not want to post them on here for fear of the flame. Also, I do not feel the need to answer a question that has already been answered. If someone has already given someone else an answer, then why do I need to restate the answer? By the time I get on the this board in the morning, 99% of the questions have already been answered.

I understand this board has rules and regulations, however, I do not see anywhere in the rules where one must search before asking a question. If it is there, please show me.

You say, that they should learn to help themselves first, I feel this board is a place to learn by asking questions. Asking questions is one of the best ways to learn.

but... do you realize that if these people searched before asking a question not only would new unanswered items be visible by being at the top of the topics but they would recieve there answer instantly rather than waiting for us to answer the question that we may have already answered over 10 times (not refering to this topic but *cough* *cough* h22 *cough*).
