Kinda OT Next gen Accord
well some drawings have surfaced of the next gen accord and if they are close to the production model I am liking them alot http://www.vtec.net/news/items/977.html
the coupe will be present and it is supposed to be taking over the role of the prelude. I have heard things such as a 260hp with a 6 speed tuned for sporty driving. sounds good to me

yeah but that is for the v6 with who knows how much stuff on it. There is no way honda is going to increase prices on the accord by that much and the 4 cylinders will now be 2.4L with DOHC i-VTEC I dunno it looks to me honda is taking a step in the right direction again and depending on the release of the specs maybe honda will no longer put out crap like the 7th gen civics

sucks doesnt it?
At my school we have a lot of Japanese foreign exchange students...one of them is in my physics class and is into honda tuning...he's pretty hard to understand but he said something about an accord type s replacement for the prelude, but with a v6 under the hood and he said something about 240 ps (i'm not sure what the hp equivilent is)...i think it would be sweet to see a v6 accord...but i dunno about 260 hp...there is no way that honda would let the accord out-perform it's agressive S2000...that would be shameful to the S2k owners and you know honda...but keep in mind how many times we have been screwed over before with the lack of performing stock accords...so be prepared to be disapointed and don't get your hopes up too much with what's under the hood of the new accords!

One of hondas representitives was quoted shortly before the release of the new altima that "Nissan was going to need more than 240hp to beat the new accord"
From what I have heard was there was going to be a high performance version of hte coupe with around 260hp 3.2L engine and the 6 speed manual both comming out of the CL. Rumor also has it that the CL and TL are getting more hp and are going to RWD. As for the s2000 many honda dealerships have confirmed the bad news that the s2000's last year is 2003 and there might be anj increase in displacment for the last year as well as a few other little changes. Note that no car has been tol to succede the s2000 and even with 260hp and a 6 speed manual tranny I doubt the Accord would be able to beat an S2000.
