Default I lost an important part to my carb. What are my options?

Not really a 'motorcycle' per se, but it has to do with the carburetor so I was hoping you guys could help me out.

I took apart my scooter a while ago to give it a thourough cleaning. Since then it's been sitting in storage. I went to mess around with it a couple days ago, and it wouldn't start. I noticed that as soon as I poured in gas, it came right back out through the carburetor. Went in and out.

I took apart the carburetor and noticed that when I took it apart months ago, SOMEHOW I managed to lose the float bowl "pin". The little pin that when the carb fills up with gas, the float bowl lifts on on the pin, and the pin prevents any gas from overflowing out of the carburetor.

So, what are my options here? I have looked all over the ******* place and can't find it anywhere.

A. Do I have to buy a new carburetor? I wouldn't mind doing this, only if I HAVE to, because the carb is pretty old on the scooter anyways.
B. Is there any way I can purchase just this part somehow?
C. Does this part come in a carburetor rebuild kit?
D. Is this part universal? Can I just take it off any old scooter/motorcycle?
E. Can I MacGyver some sort of part to put in there?

Any help would be very much appreciated. I would like to get this thing up and running soon so I can put a for sale sign on it. It's a 1984 Honda Aero 125 by the way for anyone who would like to go above and beyond the call of duty and do some research for me.

Most carb rebuild kit will include the float needle. I am assuming this is what you are saying you are missing.

Here I tried, the closest I could get was a 1985 125 elite scooter

I used a rolled up tube sock to fix my carb float before
