Hope I Didn't Goof
I always buy Shell gas at the same station. Yesterday, the delivery tanker was still there. I remembered hearing where it's not good to buy gas just after the tanks have been filled due to crud being stirred up in them. I "hope" I didn't mess up by getting gas at that time. I don't know how long ago it had been since he filled them. It was sitting parked to the side, not filling anything.
The car seemed to run okay after getting gas, so maybe I didn't get a tank full of garbage.
Off subject, but after using passing gear a time or two I got a sulphur smell from the cat.convertors. I think this is normal though according to the manual. The car seemed to be doing fine after the fillup.

My uncle used to own several gas stations. Yes, when the tanker comes and drop off fuel, all kinds of crap get's stirred up, including water. And all tanks have some kind of crack and leak. Yes, the pumps themselves have a filter, but most attendants are lazy as f^^%%, so don't expect them to be on top of it.
With that said, if you need gas, get it. And get on with life. Even if the truck dropped off gas 30 mins ago, the pressure and volume dumped will still be stirring things up.
It's like tobacco smoke. You don't want to breath it on purpose, but if the guy next to you is puffing, you are not doing to die from it.

Just like a plugged oil filter that goes into by-pass mode; it's better to have dirty oil, in this case gasoline than no gas. Something about the law of internal combustion. And, yes the filter will catch most of it.

LOL! Ten four on the filter. It's been running as slick as ever. This is a Shell station, one of the better ones. I think it's tanks have been there a while, but they seem to be pretty responsible folks there. Didn't know the pumps have filters. That's a good thing to know.
Yes, Taylor I do take good care of a car. I get the oil changed (Pennzoil Platinum) right on the day it's due. I try to get yearly fuel system flushes too. Just had one not too long before the holidays. You take care of it, it will take care of you. I believe it! :-)

Well had to have a new battery put on today, but it feels like it got a supercharger. I forget just how much the ignition and electrical depends on a good hot battery to power it all, and get a nice surprise whenever I replace a dead battery. :-) On these newer ones with all electrical "everything" it equates to a great tune up.

Well that extra power didn't last. It's running fine, but not like right after having the battery replaced. Makes me wonder if a computer hadn't reset yet and it was allowing it more power. I also wonder about these performance chips that are supposed to do miraculous things. I can imagine--foul up the onboard computer system and ruin the engine! Anyone ever tried one of those chips in your Accord and it improve anything?

That's good to know. Well it's like most Hondas run like a souped V-8 one day, then like your granddaddy's Olds the next. Just part of the performance "personality" of Hondas.
