will a d16a1 head work on a d15 block?
I have a d15 in my 91 civic hatch right now and i have a d16a1 motor out of a 89 integra does any one know if I can swap head and intake or will that be a lost cause?
no, the d16 head will go onto a zc block, but not on the d15 (unless its a 1g crx d15)
the d16a1 fits onto the d15a1/2 and is known as a "hydra"

But I think in order for it to mate to a 1G CRX, you also have to do a lot of wiring work, changing the distributor from vacuum advance to electronic advance.

I believe you can swap it into a 1g CRX easily, but other than that, the mounts are completely different from an EF and would require alot of work, its basically a DOHC ZC with a bit less power.
to be honest i think it might fit on there would be a *** low comp ratio but it might work, i dont think honda ever change thier cylinder spacing as far as d engines go
