Who does not use the inner fender lining?
Finally got the last body panel (front fender) I need for my car, and realized I dont have a fender liner or whatever it is called. Its black plastic and I guess its there to help keep water out of the engine bay from the wheels? Anyways, how many people are missing theres? If so, does it cause any problems? Just trying to figure out if I should go and try to find one before putting my fender on. Thanks!
My car was missing the driver's side inner fender when I got it...no big deal. You might want to get one if you get a chance but it's not a big deal at all...looks a little nicer to have one in.
No, it doesnt support anything. If you live in snowy conditions, throw it in. I have noticed that without it, your corner lenses will apear to be leaking, when really its because the tires are throwing water onto the inside of them... Just little things like splatter in the engine bay here and there, not too big of a deal, my last 2 EF's havent had them.
Ive been missing one for the past few years. Im too lazy to go to honda and get a new one. But I do suggest getting one. Without it in the winter It packs snow up into the door. Which could cause rust.
