Default Loweing my Car about an inch or so.

I really don't mess with suspensions too much. Mainly putting the same one on a car after the old one dies. I figured I would make a post and get everyone's opinion on this. I was wondering what would be the best suspension to get for my car. I would like to lower it about an inch and I would like my car to stick to the road. Any suggestions would be GREAT.

This is my FG2.
With tein s.tech springs.
-1.4 front and -1.3 rear
I get good grip on the road and
good handles w/ less body roll.
Plus the ride is still smooth, you
just need to have the springs
installed correctly.

That looks nice. And the distance looks great too. I might have to get those. Was wondering if you could let me know where you got yours and the price.

I was on these websites earlier. Seems good.

Really not worried about my warranty since, I already have 12000 miles on my car. At this rate my warranty will be up by the end of the year. Since my girl friend is living 200 miles away now. So lots of driving going to happen.

Thinking about getting the tein s-tech's

Yes. To maintain a proper alignment at a lower than factory height, beyond what the OEM adjusters will go.

And no set of springs that I know of comes with a camber kit. Unless you buy a package deal.

Usually, a camber kit for front and rear will run about a hundred bucks.

Not quite, a front camber kit for this car is cheap...like $40. However the rear is whats the worst when lowered and what needs to be done. SPC makes a rear kit that is good and is i believe about $289 for the set. Then dont forget to get the car aligned afterwards. Its a pretty pricey process if you do it the right way.

I'm willing to take it down 1.5" but no lower since I live in PA, and they have no clue how to pave a road. I would be scraping off of everything. Someone send me a link for the comptechs.

Comptechs are a progressive style spring unlike the rest of its competition.

I think i might just go with the hfp suspension upgrade do you think they use a camber kit when they install them. I think they just replace the whole stock set-up including strut's and shock's but i could be wrong.

Is the comptech spring really only a 1" drop cause the drop looks much lower. I read earlier that the HFP drop is also 1". How similar/different are the two?

I don't know about Comptech but the HFP kit is only .8"...not even an inch. If you're going for looks, don't get the HFP

I was looking to get 18 inch rims and the place I'm getting them from is selling 19's at the same price. Would it be better to get the 18's or 19's. If I get the 18's can i still drop my car an inch or so without doing any wheel well work?
