my friend just bought a ef hatch with a b16a where the ecu located i would like to see which one he has also he doesnt have a tach which stock dash that plugs in does

also what motor is a the b16a out of, that is the whole code no numbers also i have an ej so i dont know too much about ef's

i looked by the passenger footwell thats the first place i looked i didnt see it there i guess ill look again it was dark the first time i saw it

The ECU is under the passenger side footwell carpeting. Basically where the passenger puts their feet. It's on the slanted part. Just pull back the carpeting, sometimes it's held in there by the plastic clips that hold the plastic panel on the side by the door under the dash. Other than that it should just pull back... the ECU is under a goldish color metal plate that's held down by 4 10mm nuts. Pull that off and there's the ECU.

the ECU for the B16A that came in the EF is a PWO and the PR3 is from a DA6. Need more help call a doctor.
