help pick a dealer with good deal on civic ex/lx
today, i went to purchase a civic lx or ex. all dealers that i have been in gave us ridiculous quotes. i need your help. do you guys know any honda dealer around the bay area that is selling a civic at a very good price?
my friend got a civic lx for $16,500 OTD when he pre-order it a year ago. i think that's an excellent deal. i am trying to aim for that price tag.
so far, they quoted me a civic ex for a $21,000 OTD. that's just plain ridiculous.
i live in oakland, ca and willing to travel a bit if i can get something decent.

try looking in bakersfield, ca...if you need to contact the dude i dealt with just pm me...i got my civic ex for 19k w/ the aero kit...he took off 2k....also over in bakersfield, ca..they don't mark up prices either
You should try speaking to an Internet Sales Manager or Fleet Manager. They do not work off commission. In addition, are you being specific on telling them exactly what you want? Dealers will add costs to the price for accessories. There is a big difference in price between LX and EX. So, ask them for quotes on both. When you call or go up there, remember you are dealing with commissioned sales personnel who will try to sale you anything.
wow, that sounds like an excellent deal! $19k out the door right?
i would love to visit bakersfield but, man, that's a REALLY long drive.
how do i speak to an internet sales manager or fleet manager? so visit some websites?

In Cali finding a Civic for invoice would be very difficult -- demand is very high
I think even at invoice the Civic LX 5spd coupe would be about $17,270 OTD and an ex without navi at invoice would go for $19,226 OTD --- remember that as the year goes on the prices/invoices go up as well
I will do almost any car I sell for invoice plus fees if your interested --- I also have 2 Si's in stock I will sell for MSRP plus fees! One black and one galaxy grey!

thx but i have no interest for manual cars. i am going to wait as long as it take to get civic lx coupe auto for $16,500 OTD or less. i never knew that pre-ordering a car could be such a good deal.
