Should I lower my car before geting diffrent size wheels and tires?
Ok I have been searching this site for the past couple of days on suspension and wheel and tire displacement. Right now I have 17 inch rims with P205/40R17 tires(they came with the car when I bought it)on my 2000 Civic SI coupe. I want to get some 15 inch rims with 195/50 or 55R15 tires. I also want to lower it. Should I buy the rims and tires first before I try to lower it?
buy the rims and tires first then put them on then lower it to where you think it looks best, if you lower it first then put the tires on the car could be higher or lower more tire less tire shown and you could have to redo the ride height and not like how it looks so buy the wheels and tires first.

Or you could just buy tires that fit your vehicle correctly

I'm inferring the question as, "will it rub if I drop it first?" If that's your worry, get the wheels first. But get the wheels asap anyway because having non-overblown wheels and tires is pretty important IMHO.
