Default Fitting OEM hid's into Ek Civic headlights

i just picked up some g35 hid's and casper shields. ran into a big problem, how do i go about holding the bulbs in place? the oem clips dont fit around the plug that holds the bulb.

i know a ton of you have done this before so what did you do?

rebend the clips so they fit, If that doesnt work your going to have to get a metal wire and bend those and replace the oem ones. My friend used rubber bands; but its only a temporary solution.

make a new clip using a paper clip.
I didn't think you could use D2R bulbs with casper shield. I always thought they were for hid kits with a rebased bulb.

whats a rebased bulb? it fits fine inside with everything, just the clips doesnt fit and the rubber seal doesnt fit either.
