Default SOHC Owners, NRG Engine Dampner fits!! *Big Pics Added*

Ok I can't believe I didn't realize this before, After sitting on the kit for almost 2 months and having Roth from NRG trying to find ways to fit it since it's actually made for a DOHC accord, I got it to fit. I will try to take pics tomorrow but for now I will just tell you how I finally got it to fit.

One end is bolted to the control Arm bolt, the other is to the top bolt of the power steering. You will need to go to autozone and get a longer 10mm bolt, I think it's called M6-1 or something, worse case scenerio is just bring a 10mm socket and unbolt it at autozone and find the same one that they offer but just longer.

I can't say for sure if this is actually an improvement but I notice that you def. feel the engine vibrations a lil more since it's purpose is to prevent the engine from torque too much under load. I will be keeping an eye on the kit tomorrow and next weekend to make sure that the kit is still well in place. Just figured I'd let you all know that the kit is fitable. BTW, I installed it on my gf's 96 Ex.

Yeah, a pic would be sweet. You mounted it to where it still functions like it is supposed to?

I need a place to host the pics.

Well, from driving it so far, I can tell you that at idle, you can def. feel a difference in vibrations, you will feel more then usual but then I suppose that's how you know the brace is working since it's suppose to limit the movement of the engine.

We took it for a spirited drive between LI and NYC and I can def. say that the power is getting to the wheels alot better, and since my gf drives an auto, she needs all the help she can get. I thought that this was a fair compromise for ppl that don't need or want to swap their mounts for poly versions but still wanted the ability to better get their power to the ground.

Yup, so far it's holding in there well and I've been checking every chance I get. I tried Home Depot first but the threads on the screwd there are too corse. I then went to autozone and they had the perfect bolt, it was M6-1 I think, 10mm just like OEM and longer. I was worried at first because if you look at the bracket and the OEM piece that the bolt goes into, it seems like you need an even longer one but me and my gf took it for a test run last night and at times were doing well over 100 for some sprints (not that I condone these actions but it was like 2am) but mostly crusing between 60-85mph and afterwards I checked the kit and everything was still well bolted in place. I have the washer because in a moment of frustration and confusion before I thought about a longer bolt, I thought about trying to use the OEM bolt and thought if I kinda grinded down the bracket I'd have enough play to use the OEM bolt. In the end I slapped myself and just went and got a longer bolt.

Well, she drives an auto so regardless it'll bog some what but this helps reduce the bogging. We noticed this especially on the highway when accelerating. As for driving around town, there is just less of a bog.

It is supposed to keep your engine still. Every time you take off, your engine kinda lurches and screws you over, this is supposed to reduce that.
