tips on installing cams???
so i bought some type S cams, and wanted to save myself some $$ and do it myself. it seems easy enough to take them out, but putting them back in and making sure they are lined up correctly seems a bit confusing to me. i know there are cam locks, but i havent opened up my cover to check out where they are and how they work. the most logical way i can think to do it, if there are cam locks would be to lock one of the cams in place and mark on the belt for the cam i'm taking out where the vertical and horizontal lines are. then take the cam gear off, put it on the other cam and replace it with the marks lined up.
some questions being, are there mating surfaces on the cam and gear that woth allow me to mess up? can i slide the cam and gear back in without releasing tension on the TB? can someone show me a pic of how the cam lock works? should i just get adjustable gears so i can tune them in later?
i need any help i can get. im trying to plan as much as possible because nothing ever goes smoothly with me. i havent even gotten the cams in the mail yet and will probably wait a few weeks before i put them in so i have time to think.
