Default timing belt question> drawing included

i have a crx si 89 which wont rev over 3k. throwing crank angle sensor code which is in the dizzy and has already been changed. so now i thing the timing belt might have jumped a tooth. i took the covers off and this is what everything looks like:

according to the manual, the mark opposite to up has to be pointing straight down but has to line up to which of the marks on the crankshaft?

thanks for any imput

You don't line the cam gear up to the crankshaft. I don't know what that 45 degree mark is for. What you do is turn the crank by hand until the cam gear "UP" is up and those two marks are parallel to the head. Also, the ignition rotor should be facing the #1 cap tower. Then take off the timing belt, put the lower cover and crank pulley back on, and carefully turn the crank until the tdc mark lines up to the ignition timing pointer on the lower timing belt cover.

What I do actually is to point the cam gear about half a timing belt tooth counterclockwise so that I can get the timing belt on tight. Tighten down the idler pulley. Then turn the motor by hand until you get back to tdc and verify that everything is right.

The single mark to the right of those three marks is your tdc mark.

on the lover t-belt cover there is a mark line up the crank pulley on that , the cam gears make sure are both in the up position. Align the cam gears so that the exhaust 3 oclock and hte intake 9 o clock are in line. You should be able to take a straight edge and make a line though exhaust 9 adn 3 o clock through the intake 9 and 3 oclock.

Adn then your tdc

edit i didnt figure out you have a sohc until after i posted this sorry

ok so by looking at the drawing the timing belt did jump a tooth and needs to be adjusted?

ok so the camgear part i understood, the UP has to point up. then the crankshaft that has the single mark (to the right of the three marks) has to line up with the marks on the plastic timing cover? (which is also up)
is that right?

thats the way the camshaft should be for an si and the one single mark on the crank should be pointing up but im not too sure about that

is the drawing after you try to line it up by hand? if not you should first try to line up the cam sprocket like they said before so the "up" mark is up and the two lines are parallel to the head. then look at the crank and draw a pic and then we can tell what is going on

The single mark should be lined up with the UP mark, so by your drawing they look like they are in the same place, I dont think that is your issue. If your drawing isnt as accurate as the car, then I would adjust your timing, using the manuel it will tell you exactly what to do, if you need a Helms I have one for a CRX, which engine wise is the same thing.
