OBD1 engine wiring (searched, but for the love of god help!)
I'm doing OBD1 on the civic.
Here's my issue.
Harness, stock OBD0 pos.
Harness with engine, even tho engine is obd1, harness promised was obd1, received obd2.
Engine is 100% obd1, nothing has been changed over to anything.
What do I do for:
The injectors (I found plugs that clip in, need the wiring info)
The dizzy (I have the plug and a spare obd0 harness to hack plugs out of butmost threads in this site suck ***, and have horrible info, I need legit info that I can verify before I do what I had to do to my ecu wiring, which is get legit print outs of both ecu, and start to match them up, I figured that about 50% of the write ups on obd1 are wrong)
The alternator (Will obd1 plug work or can I make anything else work, I might be able to get a 90-91 teg alternator to solve my issues)
The resistor box (all I have to say on that one is, WTF MATE??? Do I keep it with the new wiring or do I junk it?)
AHHH! I hate wiring. I did tho, figure out my ECU wiring so I don't need help on those.
I'm not a 'wiring' kind of person. I get mad easy at small things. I have clumsy hands and I'm not patient. I beleive that tackling my own wiring by myself is a very great thing. I've learnt ALOT about wiring OBD0 to OBD1, like don't trust the Honda-Tech write ups.
PS: All I have to say is, wiring from 10 pm to 4am while helping my friend change a hydro tranny to cable on my engine, changing engine mounts and piecing togeter a harness from 4 other ones, that redbull is a very potent drink
.
Thanks guys.

I guess it's mpfi already
Have you bought a jumper harness for your ECU? You admit you're not a wiring kind of person, I'd definitely buy one!! DIY is good for the soul though.....I hear that.
Resistor box is going bye bye. Just solder all those wires together and make sure one makes it to each injector.
I can't speak for everyone, but my obd0 alternator plug fit right into my obd1 alternator....no problems there.
You should get (if you don't already have) the obd1 harness plugs for the distributor. I used this pic to wire the big dizzy plug - worked great.
Remember those are the obd1 ecu pinout locations ^^
Don't have a handy pic of the other plug but it's only 2 wires so figger it out

RyWire.com bro. Seriously. Don't try to make the OBD conversion harness yourself. Make the VTEC and O2 subharnesses if you want, but not the OBD conversion. It's so easy to mess that up and drive yourself insane for weeks on end chasing down problem wires.
leave it to the pros. I have a friend that will wire up obd0 to obd1 and my vtec for me for free. But I am still planning on going with rywire just because it is so much more of a cleaner job.
