Shift fork squeaks

I can see where the squeak comes from when i pop out the rubber boot by the slave cylinder, is it ok to spray some wd40 or silicone grease in there where the fork pivits?

lol you realize how hard it would be to get grease on the clutch from where the shift fork hole is?
not to mention the pressure plate is bolted on top of the disc and flywheel.

it wouldnt be hard at all. you do know the "clutch fork (not shift fork like you said) is within 2" from the clutch assembly right???
and just so you know the pressure plate mates to the clutch plate and grease between any of the mating surfaces will absolutely destroy any grip the clutch has.
i wasnt saying you where wrong, just making him aware of the danger in just SPRAYING something in there, and the possibity that its the TOB not the actually clutch fork.

yea i know how close it is
but its BOLTED on top of the disc. how in gods name are you going to get anything on the disc/flywheel in any quantity to cause clutch problems when everything is squeezed together?

very easily like i said, theres an air gap. and the area in the center of the pressure plate where the fingers are is a target.

I thought about that... And ****, im not gonna let a whole can loose on the damn thing haha. I just wanna get enough on the fork to shut it the hell up. That shouldnt be a problem, should it? And im having a hard time figuring out what you mean by TOB? Its most definatly the fork, i had my buddy press the clutch while i pulled out the rubber boot and watched/listened.
where exactly can you find this grease that can make a 90 degree turn when spraying? anyway, slave cylinder to clutch fork squeaking is a known problem.. the correct way of doing it would be to take the 2 bolts out that hold the slave cylinder and simply lube the end of it where it connects to the fork.. put it back, press the clutch a couple times problem solved.. but if you dont have the 5 minutes it takes to do it correctly, a couple spirited sprays of grease will not do any harm..
^... and use the correct grease that Honda specifies.. i think they call it Super Urea grease or something like that. im just too lazy to head to the garage at the moment. but this squeak is normal for Hondas.. i have had it on all 5 of my Hondas.

um thats not on the contact surface of the pressure plate/clutch disk/flywheel.
when the clutch is bolted to the flywheel and torqued down there is no air gap on the friction surface. ever tried to spin the clutch disc on an installed clutch?
sure you might get a little bit on the disc between the mating surface veins or if its a multi puck clutch you CAN but lets be realistic. your gonna have to let an entire can go ontop of the clutch for it to do ANYTHING and honestly if you hold the pedal down for a few seconds you are going to burn off anything that comes in contact with it if it came out of an aerosol can.

Meh, I always used regular old grease out of a grease gun. Never had a problem with them squeaking again.

Actually, urea is not ****, it's just based from the latin word that meant urine. Urea is also known medically as carbamide [CO(NH2)2]. It's used in fertilizers, medicines, plastic synthesis, etc. But yes, it is found in urine.
