I was just wondering if you were to do enogh modifications to the D15B6, what the potential for power would be? I figure It's nowhere near a B18, seeing as it is a weak motor to begin with, but just interested to see what you guys can come up with for figures!

 

what i would do is get some 16 valve relief pistons and and 16 valve head,,then turbo it..set the goal at around 220whp..done..

 

I wonder why the b6 had 8 valve pistons but the b8 had 16, silly honda.

 

so the d15b8 has pistons with 16 valve reliefs.? never knew that...

not all of them though, i think only the newer ones had 16v reliefs, older ones were still 8 valve pistons

 

If it's got 16 valves, throw a turbo and an exhaust on it. You will never want for VTEC or a second cam.
