D15B8 Valves
So i've read on this forum that 92-93's had only 2 relief cuts for the valves and that 94-95 had 4 relief cuts. But i've also read the complete opposite of that. Which one is true?

No one seems to know. And if you check part numbers both the D15B7 and the D15B8 share the same pistons for all years if you go to buy replacement parts. I have seen a couple of pics of D15B8s that only had 2 valve reliefs though so at some point honda was using 2 valve relief pistons. My guess is the early engines.

I have a 94, it had 4 valve reliefs in the pistons. It would make sense that as the years went on that Honda would make the 2 valve relief pistons obsolete to save money resulting in 92-93 having specific 2 valve relief style pistons and 94-95 using standard DX pistons.

Re: D15B8 Valves
I thinks its more luck of the draw. I have a 94 cx and it has 2 valve relief pistons (noticed it when I changed the head gasket). Only way to really know is to pull the head.
