ok so im thinkin of doing a F20c swap on my accord and i want to know is there a FWD tranny that would fit the motor?

 

no.
F20C is a s2000 engine, rear wheel drive.
You have a accord, fwd setup.
Will need to customize you motor mounts, firewall, entire bottom of car and so on.
You would need more than 10 thousand dollars (at least) for something like that, plus... lots of custom parts that you would need to make according to the specs needed.

 

wow. i found the swap for 4k. but the entire bottom end of the car is too extreme. i might just go h22 or k20?

 

what mods have you done to your car so far?

 

nothing extreme just the cai and exhaust is done headers are coming if i dont swap it.

a "insight" shell, using a built NA (that means no turbo and no nitrous) F22 was the world's fastest SOHC, and yet.... you want a swap. I rest my case.

 

Attempting to swap an S2000 motor into an Accord is not practical. If you want a swap, get an H22. Or if you really feel like a more difficult swap, go for a K24. Otherwise, turbo the stock F-series and be happy.

Calm down man... I gave you an honest answer without flaming you, calling you a noob, or telling you to learn how to search. Before your last post, only 1 person posted anything derogatory. Are you going to let 1 person represent a forum that has thousands of users?

On any forum you go to, you will find some jackasses. I seriously doubt, however, that you will find as many knowledgeable people as you can find on this forum. If you let one bad apple turn you away from this forum, then you will be missing out on a wealth of knowledge.

Common sense would tell you the answer to an F20C swap.

Anyway "Xclusively4god", I really wasn't trying to humiliate you!... sure I was a little sarcastic, but what I was trying to say was that most people put "intake, exhaust" and call their accords slow.
Have you ever driven a civic 1.6l with intake and exhaust?!.... that's slow!
Now, accord is a medium sized car, and it has some weight, and wasn't meant to be the most powerfull on its category when it was made.
You can't just give up on a f22 because the car isn't pulling like a 400hp with its intake and exhaust.
I got a couple of friends that have accords here in south florida, and I always tell them, if you want that accord pulling hard, you gotta put some money into it, because even if you swap a h22, the car won't haul *** like you may think.
Anyway man, don't be bad at me.

thank you sir. and it really wasnt that i wanted to bail on the fseries i just felt if it were possible and not that difficult i would do it. i appreciate your apology and since we first spoke i have decided to turbo the car and if i end up not liking its numbers at the track then swapping it to the h22 and use the turbo off the f22

Yes, I know. But XcLuSiVeLy4GoD and I have also spoken via PMs...

 

My friend said the same thing exactly... "You should put the F20C in your Accord...its' the same engine"

Me: "Uhh...no, just because it's an F series motor doesn't make it the same, I'm an FF car and the AP is a FR car... do you have 20k to spare so I can customize most of my parts".

LOL, if I had the money hell yes I would've done it. I'm already planning to swap w/ an H22. It's all a matter of money, research, knowledge, and personal taste. Before you boost your car...just make sure everything is in working order and if financially possible replace a couple internal things with aftermarket.
