Default Very Weird Swap, Need Help

Hey everyone. I own a 1993 Acura Vigor GS 5-Speed and am interested in doing a motor swap. I love my G25A1 I-5, it's got decent pickup and runs fine but the problem is it has absoultely no aftermarket support whatsoever.

Supposedly this car is "unswappable" but I'll believe it when I see it, if there's a will there's a way. The engine is mounted North South and it's FWD, so that right there should give you some idea on how much of a pain in the ***** this might be.

My goal is to do an H22A4 turbo, and I know this would require a fair amount of fabrication, but I am hellbent on doing this.

What kind of obstacles would I be facing in doing a swap like this? I know motor mounts is obviously one.

Please don't try to deter me from doing this, it's too late now.

TIA

I have absolutely no useable info to give other than, maybe a S2000 swap, and then turbo.

I think H22A would be the easiest and even then your talking custom mounts and stuff. I thought the Vigor was closely related to the Accord...

I'm glad to see someone is straying from the beaten path for once. But, don't get me wrong this swap will be a real bitch. Getting axles that will fit will be hard. You'll have to have them made. Same with wiring, which is ALWAYS a problem. Hope you have a mechanic who knows what he's talking about when it comes to swaps. Good luck, and may the force be with you.

Vigor is on it's own platform as far as I know. I rather do an H22 instead of a F20C (S2000 motor). It's just too damned expensive. Plus it's nice having more useable torque in such a heavy car (~3150 pounds).

Like I said I imagine just a swap of a stock H22 wouldn't make it much quicker (top end only) but the potential the motor is what I'm interested in.

Does your stock vigor engine turn clockwise like the new K-series engines or counter-clockwise like the B-series and H-series engines?

you might want to look into some sort of tranny adaptor plate and just stick the h22 in there the same direction as the 5 cyl is, if it spins the same way.

I was thinking of mounting it North South, it'd make my life a lot easier. Plus that's the correct way motors should be mounted anyhow.
