Whats the deal with the my 92 CX. what part of the car has or is supposedly pre wired for vtec? I know the computer aint, so i bought a p28. The harness is coming in off of a 94 ex.Is the firewll side harness pre-wired or what?the wiring schematics/ pinout page got me all confused. Im just trying to get all the parts stacked up because im dropping in a JDM d15b soon. i want the swap to go smoothly.

 

you engine harness is wired for VTEC

Your chassis/ECU/firewall harness is prewired for VTEC. If you plugged in a 92-95 EX/SI engine harness you would not need to add any vtec wires.

 

so all i need is to plug up the harness and the computer? cool thanks guys. Could i also use my p28 for lets say a b18c-r?

 

Your P28 could be chipped for the B18c.

 

all 1992 civic have VTEC wires - just no plug for it on engine side, so just run the wires to vtec separately.
