Default The Build coming to a close...FINALY

From the Day I got the car nearly 4 years ago
I bought the car with 87k on the ODO, she now has 121k on the chasis and 50k on the new motor
Day 1

I Installed H&R Race springs and some Shocks and Began Saving for my turbo project...over the following year I collected parts and made stuff happen here and there

Tial 38mm Gate, Custom Manifold, Dsm injectors, Audi SMIC, VAFC tune, Custom Piping, 60/63 T3/t4 from turbonetics
I poped the motor when the VAFC did a few timing changes under WOT
I installed an F22b From jarco-inc and ran ubderdata on a p28...at this time I was on my 3rd turbo, second motor, and second intercooler. T3/60trim and a JRC FMIC.

With the new motor, new fmic, I picked up some Acura CL wheels

Boredome came quickly as the only fun I was having was Straight line.
I managed a 14.4 @ 101mph on 10lbs of untuned boost. Made 220wtq and 220whp dynoed.(still on the SMIC)

Parting out was simple and needed. All the turbo parts were sold and an H22 w an LSD trans was picked up and the NA build Began.

I aquired a few parts and tweeked the motor accordingly

RM Cam Regrinds, Rage Cam Gears, Greddy 4-2-1 Header, Apex-i WS exhaust, Magnecore Plug Wires, ProClutch 6puck, Pressure plate, and 12lb Flywheel. The intake manifold was Port Matched, the Throtle body was knife edged and polished and a custom intake was configured. The Car Has No AC, Power Steering is Bypassed at the Steering Rack. A 14" slim fan was mounted pull style and runs off the factory cooling fan wiring/trigger.

Interior Was Dumped off and Corbeau Seats Installed with Corbeau Rails. A clubman and an A4/wide keep the passenger and driver snug and comfortable. A sparco Wheel/momo hub/NRG QR and Hub Lock keep steering and safety in check. Shifting is assited by Razo Classic Pedals, A 180g razo shift ****, and a PSPEC SS with boot keep things comfortbale and precise. Sounds come out of a Clarion Deck, and Alpine Stype Speakers. NRGcell 11lb battery is out back via a battery relocation.

Car rides nicely on Omni Streets, ST rear sway, NRG Front Upper Strut Brace, Megan Racing C-Pillar Bar, and INgalls Camber adjustment on all four corners. The car stops with the help of NSX Front Calipers and 11" Wagon Rotors, rear ceramic pads reside out back. Motor is held tightly in place via INNOVative Motor mounts and a modified/poly filled OEM Front Motor mount.

Rolling on 5zigen RSX-6 16x7 wheels in HYPER black wrapped in 205/50/r16 Kuhmo SPTs. The Exterior is touched up with a Debadge in the rear, 20% tint and all windows, OEM Fogs, and Accord SIR black housing headlights with H4 conversion. A benen tow hook ensures easy rescue in the case of going off track or road(lake roads/deals gap)

Car will Be recieving a Cage VIA autopower, ITBs, Corbeau 5pts, a wideband, 16x8 wheels(FN01rc, Advan ONI), after that the car should be finished and a DD purchase will be in order.

This car is exactly what I wanted my car to be when I first bought it...I am nearing its completion and I couldnt be happier.

All COmments welcomed

definetelly nice.

f22 turbo was looking very neat and nice.... you didn't even cut the front bumper to fit the intercooler.

Overall.... I think the car looks pretty good!

Very nice. I wish I could complete my car project. But my plans are so grand($2800 for the head build alone) but thats the price one pays for wanting the best all Mota set-up I can achieve.

mod for mod on the level of boost, I made just as much power(as any other F turbo) with a smaller turbo on the 1.8t SMIC. It is EXTREMELY efficient and the flow held up to the power I was making. I dynoed the above numbers on 8-10lbs on a T3/60trim/audi SMIC with RICH AFs(10-11) across the board.

I like the H22 much more than my FI setup. I got BORED very fast. Car was fun but it was clumsy and I prefer a good run by the lake every once in a while...and a boosted car with no traction and being FWD it had too many limits.

DSM piping is a GOD send and allowed a lot of clearances, that is why it was chosen. I could break things down quickly and all hardpipes had no real appeal. Easy to obtain/replace and easy to remove.

Wish I had pics of the setup once I had everything cleaned up...that was the DAY I got it finished(10/XX/04)...
