Integra Exhaust

Im hoping I am putting this in the right section. I am looking at putting together a partial exhaust for my 95 integra. I ONLY need the cat back to axle back part. I already have the axle back with muffler all welded together.
Now the question I have for you welding guys that have probably welded a few exhausts or 2, is the straight section coming off the cat usually looks like it has a small bend in it. Almost like a 45 degree angle in there. Does this NEED to be implemented into the exhaust or can you use just straight piping there, and will it fit? After tha I am thinking a 90, then a 40 and maybe another 90 will do the trick.
Hopefully you can help me out with this! Thanks!

i always use straight pipe from the header flange to the bend the goes around the gas tank.works fine, even on 3" pipe.

no problem.here's an example of a 3" backpipe i made.you can still easily fit a resonator on there, customer just didn't want one.

i used the one whole 90 as the first bend.the other two i just cut out of a 180.normally i use all 180s,and cut to the proper angles since the 180s end up being cheaper than buying 90s-i just happened to have this 90 laying around,so i used it. 45s would probably be close for the second and third bends if you're trying to avoid having to cut the bends-it just gets more expensive buying three separate bends as opposed to making all three bends out of one 180.but,if you're just making it for yourself,it would probably be much easier to buy a 90 and two 45s.
another example.this is for a Prelude, which also has the bend right after the cat.on this one i used one 180 for the backpipe.

now any pics what was used for going over the lower control arm

about a 45 angle to get up over the LCA(i cn't say the exact angle since i usually cut it out of a 180),then about a 45 to the muffler.that's all i needed on both these cars since i used an oval muffler tucked up as high as they'd go.if the muffler inlet is lower, you may need a bend going back down, the bending straight to enter the muffler.

please excuse the crappy weld-the muffler pipe was quite a bit larger than the bend in diameter.

hey thanks for the pics. I take it you got yours from kteller or something? Does it look like you could get away with 2 90 degree bends for that bends in the exhaust? or do you think you have to use a 90 and a 45?
Yeah, pre-bent from kteller....the easy way i suppose
Tough call...not sure if a 45 will get up high enough over the LCA, if it has enough of an arch to clear it. If i were doing it myself again, i'd get a 45 and a 90 just to be sure.
