Default port matching

how important is it to port matcch the tb to the IM and the IM to the cylinder head or vice versa??? if i do this am i gonna see a diff or does this only need to be done on built motors. i have a z6 with edelbrock IM gsr tb heafer exhaust and shortly a 59300 zex cam.

Port matching to the head isnt going to give you much on a mainly stock motor. You never want a bigger throttle body then your intake manifold. If your throttle body is bigger the intake manifold needs to be bored out.

the tb is actually i think 2-3mm smaller than the im. whatever the size of the itr tb is is the size of the edelbrock performer x im.
