OEM foglights
Hello,
I am new to honda-tech but have read the posts many times. I bought a 98 Type-R last month and it came with OEM foglights. I was just wondering what would I have to do if I wanted to take them off. The original grill was cut to place the foglights in. I guess I need a new grill. Does anybody know what type of procedure needs to done to remove these foglights cleanly. (Hopefully without pulling off the front bumper)

got a phillips screwdriver? there are 4 screws behind each foglight - wiring if you trace far enough in should be a clip to unclip the wiring harness
if you decide to sell let me know

aww, you're getting rid of your fogs..they look so good though, ah well. but like everybody said, very easy.
fog light itself has 3 bolts. and the brackets that hold the foglight has 2 bolts per bracket,
and the harness is held on by twist ties to the lower frame. just snip those and the wires will be loose, and just unclip the wire connector for the fog light harness right behind the drivers side headlight, look carefully you'll see a connector just disconnect it and slowly manuever the harness out and your good to go.
the switch is the same deal, if it was installed from the factory than the switch should be on the center console and thats quite easy to remove as well.
good luck, but i'd keep it..
and to fix the grill, you would have to get a new bumper, otherwise you'll get holes there.

Keep them on and don't worry about
Looks good
OEM, JDM and by Raybrig
Otherwise get a new bumper, or replace with those aftermarket grills (which I don't like). OEM is the best. You could just deal with the cuts in the grill though... but best to leave them on there.

I want to take them off but the grill is cut where they are in place. Unless I can find a way to replace the OEM grill without getting a new bumper, I won't take them off. To the people that want to buy sorry but until I find out how to replace the grill I can't sell them.

Because I don't like the way they look. Some people like them but I'm just not a fan of them.
