Default Engine Bay

I just swapped out my stock motor from my 91 EF9. The engine bay looks dirty as hell, i wanna clean it up, spray it down with a hose and mabe some Simple Green? i don't know, can you guys tell me what is a good solution to take the grime off yet safe enough for the paint?

cover the dizzy, batt. tray, and fuse box. And any other impt. wiring points.

Then spray everything with a couple cans of "engine gunk".

Hose off.

get purple power from the dollar store and spray it in the bay. a trip to the carwash will get the motor warmed up.

i cover the alternator too. high pressure water&gt;hose.

yeah, make sure you cover electircal sutff,

heres what i do: after driving around when everything its hot, spray with simple green and bug & tar remover, let it sit for a few minutes, come back with the hose and dry her off. (that way theres no water spots)
