So I'm looking to buy a stock Taffeta White ek hatch to drive around later once I sell my DC and I can't find one anywhere in Washington. I heard they only come 99-00? People told me that color is pretty rare? Is it like the SSBP GSR's? Thanks

most of the common colors that i seen in my area is

red
black
silver
white
midori green
blue (few)
purple (rare)

like i said this in my area from top(common) to bottom(rare)

 

that color was only available in the US in the year 2000. where i am, i only see a them every so often.. . it seems like EVERYONE has a black, silver, or red one though.

For my area it's:

silver
red
black
purple
white
midori

 

Just bought my taffetta white 2000 hatch 3 days ago. Love it. Really bright white.

 

dang... so my chances are next to none lol. I've seen more Midori's around my area than white. And when they are white usually it's not taffeta but championship. Thanks for the reponse guys. Maybe I'll find one, one day and I'll be in the civic forum more haha..

ek forever guy, how much did you pay? stock?

 

Mostly stock, (short shifter and exhaust) 110k for 5500. It was high, but it was worth it to me. They are sooo hard to find. Take your time though, It will be worth it to have a car you like.

never seen a factory blue one. from what ive noticed, the rarest one is white, then midori and then the purple.

you sir, are correct. two people saying something holds more credence than one. see how i just lended credence to this guy?

and yeah, i dont see many white hatches in my area. i thought about the tafetta before i found a clean tafetta coupe, but there arent many, and even fewer are in clean condition.

 

good luck on trying to find one.. when i was searching for mine, the few tafetta white ones I saw were beat up. so I just ended up buying a VSM.

 

i painted my ej1 taffetta white(not championship white like so EVERYONE does), and the ppg book and the dupont book both have it listed as if it came from a 98 honda.....it didn't say what car it was from...but i KNOW FOR A FACT it was in the 98 year...did it come on another car?someone told me it was on a 98 NSX, i also saw a listing of paint codes on here(i think it was on here) and i think they listed it starting in 98 for civics. i dont know if there is some misinformation out there...not saying anyone is wrong, but just telling you what i know

i see more s2000's then ek hatches..
and the only white one i've seen have been automatics.

i have a 98 lx sedan and it is teffeta white, but there are two different teffeta whites... one came on my car... the other which is the color my car is now is more commonly known as championship white, from the itr... my car is definatly a brighter white now... the paint codes are the same except for the last number... champ-5... regular teffeta - 4

your post makes absolutely no sense.

Championship white DOES NOT equal taffeta white.

 

Around me i only see white coupes and sedans. the colors i see around me, from most common to rarest are:

Purple
Silver
Black
Red(rarely see them, except my friends)
Blue(Never seen blue i dont think)
White(Never seen a white hatch in my area)

 

I have 2 friends with 99-00 hatches ones purple, the other ones white...both very rare

basically, if you even find one in a condition worthy of buying, its already been modded.

 

the only OEM blue civics I've ever seen are sedans (cyclone blue metallic and teal blue on 99-00s) and the si.
