I have a bit of a mystery.

98 civic 81,000 miles stock parts.

All summer the clutch has been making a squeeky noise when i press it in.
Always in the same spot, a squeek.

I have not been driving my car alot this summer. Maybe once or twice a week.

Over the past 2 days i have been driving the squeeking is gone, and when i press my clutch it feels alot softer.

also realize that the weather has gotten cooler and it has been rainning, so that could explain the squeeking going away?

i put my car into 5th great and let tht clutch out, it stalled... and i dont think the clutch is slipping...

i'm just worried about the squeeking going away and the clutch being softer...

should i be worried?

where exactly is this squeaking noise coming from?? get someone to push in the clutch pedal for you while you go around and listen

 

the problem is it stopped squeeking, it kind of sounded like air being pushed out of something,,, right behind the space where the pedal is, right outside the floor area.

 

look under the dash to see if the master cylinder is leaking fluid

 

also somtimes the fork in the tranny needs to be greesed. dose it sound like metal to metal squeeking?
