Default D15B engine head scratched?

Okay so I'm literally a timing belt change away from getting my new found EF 4 door running again.

I was cleaning the old head gasket from the head that I got from the wreckers and I tried pulling out those bastard dowel pins and I kinda put a small gouge into my head. Its is somewhat close to a coolant passage but I mananged to sand things down fairly smooth.

How many here have experienced a slightly scratched head surface and ended up getting a head gasket leak?

Thanks

im cheap...so personally i would just get a metal gasket and spray it with copper and be on my way....but many people here will probably tell you to get it resurfaced
