Ok so i bought this 90 civic dx about a week ago. It wasnt running but i fixed it it it ran great for a day. the temp. gauge was not working at all and i was driving it around a little bit. Anyway the car broke down and now i got it started but it wont rev past 3k like it is in limp mode and it is smoking alot. do you think i might of overheated without knowing and blew the head gasket? the gasket is brand new

so the headgasket was blown originally??, you fixed it, it ran great but the temp gauge didn't work.....

sounds like it's blown again. you better address the issue this time LOL.

have you had a look at the oil? coolant? codes?

 

Well, the car wasnt running because the head was siezed up. the cam was melted to the head. So when i replaced the head i put a new head gasket on

 

the only code it is throwing is code 6 which is temperature sensor

 

no signs of coolent in the oil either
