I got a 1993 Del Sol SI two days ago and there is a kinda grinding noise coming from the transmission area(not a gear)You can mainly hear it when starting off or in the lower rpm range to like 4k if its above that then i cant hear it overmy exhaust. A few people have told me that it could be a throwout bearing or mainshaft bearing. What do you guys think. If you need anymore info or description of the sound then PM me . I searched the topic and didnt find anything

 

does the clutch in or out change anything?

 

it does it in and out but very loud when it is out. i can also feel the vibration from it while putting the car in gear whenver im still or down shifting
