Default OK to use 90-91 distributor in an 88?

Will a 90-91 Si/Hf distributor work in an 88? The different years have different Honda part numbers, but does anyone know for sure if it would work?

thanks

the year of the cars are the shape of the frames basically, you have to go by engines when buying engine parts, its most likely a d series engine, and the d series engines were the same through 88-91, alot of times most d series parts are interchangable same with b series parts just some info for future reference, always good to double check

I'd be careful though because i can think of stuff that is different. For example, clutch/tranny (different spline count).

awesome! I thought I had read somewhere that they would interchange, but thanks for confirming it.
