Default H22/H23 90 CRX Si Questions

Hey Everyone,

So I've decided I am using an H23 bottom end with an H22 DOHC VTEC head in my CRX (mainly because I picked up an H23 long block for $200). I'm looking for some advice on what parts/brands to look at for the rebuild and such. I alreday know what I need and where to get it for the swap. Also what is a good transmission and is automatic/manual better and why? Thanks people.

I know manual is less work, but I live in a very hilly area so I'm thinking an automatic with sequential sport shifting and/or overdrive may be good...?

Manual Transmission is the only way to fly if you wanted auto we may be able to do that also may be custom as well...we do installs too...

I've you guys' kits and was planning to talk to you all when I ready to do the install. Right now I am looking for rebuild help on my H22 hybrid (H22 vtec head with H23 bottom end). I also know that most people like manuals more but I am actually thinking auto because I live in such a hilly area so I am wondering what the actual technical difference between the two is performance wise. Thanks.

I think you loose atleast 10% of the hp through the auto transmission...if you are looking for someone to rebuild the engine with aftermarket parts we can also make that happen...

Money is tight, otherwise I would hook you guys up with the project. But as things are I will be doing the work myself, at least what I can of it, and I don't have my H22 vtec head yet. I'll email you about it though, thanks.
