^ that was my same thought... pretty complex but if its anything like Nascar's chase for the cup, then i understand and think its a decent idea that might make the championship chase alittle more exciting...

Ive been following the powerade series more than anything else. Full 16 car fields are a little more interesting than 3 pro rear cars and a by run to the final round. BTW, the US nationals will own me this weekend.

I don't agree with the direction things are going in....it does seem like they're going in the direction of Nascar...Hey, drag racing's reigning queen (Shirley Muldowney) does not agree with it, and she's usually a big supporter of what they do rule and process wise.

i dont see this as being necessary for drag racing to do. it definately helped nascar in the "drama" dept. but i think drag racing already has that excitment. unlike nascar where everyone is racing at the same time over a course of a few hours where someone is likely to lose due to another competitors error drag racing is a one shot deal, head to head, one winner done. i could go on but its done. well just have to see how it works out.
