EP3 + FIRE = sad day
So my buddy texted my a picture the other morning on his Si....only it looked black. So after work I drove to his house to find his 05 Blue Si, not to be blue any more.

Here's a pictrue of the bully!

Around 2am a neighbor went outside for a smoke. Only he smells more than his smoke. He look down the road and the Dodge Stealth was on fire. Electrical problem were guessing. Who knows, Stealths suck anyways IMO. Fire caught on to the Civic and the gas tank exploded. Cars being parked on the street cancels out homeowners insurance. The witness saying he saw the Stealth on fire first and it spreading to the Civic happens to be an 'act of god' according to the Stealths car insurance company. So now my buddies insurance is gonna have to cover it and his rate goes up due to that. What a load of crap. The Stealth was my buddies step-dads car too.

That's a typical first response. When his irate insurance company calls the Stealth owner's insurance company, things might turn out differently.
I wouldn't put it past the EP3 owner's insurance company to sue the driver and insurance company associated with the Stealth. I don't know how things work in California, but in Virginia the fire brigade's investigators can have a lot of influence on whose insurance company pays what.

Are you sure? It's not covered by collision, and not the fault of the driver.

It's a legal phrase. It does not necessarily refer to God the father lending a hand to the destruction, but rather to the event's being out of the kin and hand of humans after the event has started.
Once the fire started, whatever causes motivated the fire to move to the EP3 were beyond the control of humans.
"Act of God" is still used in many phrases and legal documents because the concept that an event that damaged humans was out of their hands goes back to a time that there was only one religion in England, and everybody did pretty much believe in the same God.
