Remove chrome trims on 95 EG8
I don't really like the chrome trim on my window trim? I know the 1993 Civic DX has a black window trim and I'm planning to swap it with chrome but I don't really know how to remove them from the door panel. Any one got any idea on how to do this swap?
Thanks,
Julius

heh, a 93 civic window trim is supposed to be black. if yours looks chrome it's that the rubber type coating has come completely off.
or do you mean that you want chrome?
the trim (lower part of the window right?) rolls off inward. All though I have yet to remove one with enough ot the clips left on it to be able to reuse it.

from what i know, on 4 door civics 92-95 the EX and LX have chrome trim, the dx has black, get ahold of a dx at a salvage yard or go to honda or just paint it, the easy way.
Ya true. the DX has the BLK trim. But im not good with paint haha. Do you guys know how to remove them? iheard theres clips? but dont know where it is. here is a pic for reference..

no offence but you don't have to be good with paint, it's not like you can do a bad job

i agree the polished trim on the lx & ex models on the sedan do stand out and would be great to replace them with the dx models.
to be honest i thought about doing that on my sedan now but i do recall the black trims on honda hatchback, coupe and sedan do chip and require repaint...too much hassle i just left it alone, polished trim
