This is an authentic Mugen ecu that is a bolt on replacement for the stock ecu in 97-98 USDM Type Rs, and 96-99 GSRs. With a harness you can adapt to 00 and 01 rs and 99+ Sis(sorry no harness inluded). This ecu is great for setups with stock cams and bolt on parts, and slightly raised compression. Im asking $750 firm but am interested in a few parts possibly to take place for some cash:

cam gears(no aem or other 3 bolt, 4 bolts or more)
2.5" header(lmk what kind, jdm, jun, toda, spoon etc)
290cc prelude injectors
97-98 type R ecu

Don't want to sound stupid or anything, but what's the difference between the 97-98 ITRs... and the the 00-01 ITRs... I thought they all ran the OBDII ECUs.... let me know.. thanks...

 

not quite sure on it, I know that mugen sells the harness for the 00/01s and that I have to find a 97-98 ecu to bolt right in Dr. Kimball, PM me thanks

They are both OBDII but I think the 97-98 ITRs had the older OBDII, while the 00-01 ITRs have the newer OBDII, which in a sense is OBDIII... I forgot what they called it... OBD 2.3 or something...

96-98 OBD2 and 99-01 OBD2 have different plugs at the ecu. So you CANNOT plug a 96-98 ecu into a 99+ OBD2 equipped car or vise versa....unless you have an ecu jumper that allows this.
