I never thought I would ever have to create one of these threads but, unfortunately I am at a loss and not sure what to do.

The story:

Noticed his thread regarding his car for sale. While reading his mod list I noticed he had a Nakamichi CD player that I have wanted for a while. I PM'd him asking if he would part it out. He responds and we settle on a price of $430 shipped. I paypal him the $$$ and all is well. I also agreed to kick in an extra $8 for paypal fees. No biggie. This took place on July 11, 2006. A week goes by and he pm's me saying that he hadn't shipped it out yet due to being busy and not having the right packing materials. Again, no biggie. I say to him that as long as I receive it by the September 4th long weekend then we're good. I'm driving to Seattle for a track day and music would be nice. Another week or so goes by and he pm's me again saying that he feels that a total asshat for not shipping it yet. Being the nice guy I am I say it's not a problem and just get it to me for the Sept. long weekend.

I have tried PMing and emailing him and have received no repsonses. Basically I'm looking to unwind the transaction since he could not meet my date deadline, which was AMPLE time IMO.

I purchased an ITR bra from him earlier this year and that transaction was as smooth as butter so I'm not sure what has happened to him. Not sure if I'm getting scammed or if there is some serious **** going on in his life.

I believe he is a fairly popular member on here and by no means am I calling him out or saying he's screwing me over. Just looking for a little HTH to see if anyone knows how I can get a hold on him.

Since i'm a member of access photo I did some searching and his last active state was: Last Active Yesterday, 04:24 PM

So he is around. But, he seems like a good guy to me.

 

Yeah, Alexander = good peoples. He may just have a bunch going on in his life. But as said, try accessphoto. I know he's on there. Or maybe try PMing Ebelp.

 

Not trying to be an *ss, but if he has internet access, how difficult would it be to spend 2 seconds replying to an email or IM? More importantly, if you can't send the stuff you accepted payment for in a prompt manner, then give the buyer his money back.

I can understand unforseen circumstances hindering someone's ability to send something out, but 45 days AND a lack of communication? That's not being responsible, sorry.

Wow.... if you had been waiting a week or so i would say give it some time, but you have waited long enough. I hope this situation is resolved quickly.

 

Another classic example of people not able to execute simple tasks.

Good people or not, there is no excuse for no communication after selling something online.

Thanks everyone for you input. I'm not sure if I want to go onto AccessPhoto for the sole purpose of getting this problem resolved. I really don't like airing out my dirty laundry in others people's backyards.

This post was created so perhaps one of his friends would read it and let him know.

I'll give it a week and see how this thread goes.

you dont have to worry about this being a shady deal. either hes just being lazy or is really busy. alex is good peoples. if he stiffs you I know where he lives so dont sweat it. he hasnt even posted here in 3 days so hes probably just busy.

 

Chris (white rocket) is a true example of the *perfect buyer*.. Unfortunately his patience combined with my work schedule and recent events turned into a LONG long wait as you can tell by the date of the transaction.

The deck was sent out and if you (Chris) check your email I sent you the relevant Customs Decleration ID and Insurance Tracking number a few minutes ago.

And to everyone else, thanks.. You all know where I live so i've really have nothing to hide in the end

 

He should be chiming in very soon. I just spoke with a friend who spoke to him.

 

I have received all the information I need from the seller. I am glad that this matter was handled in a diplomatic and timely manner. Thanx Alex and everyone else who contributed .
