Default Ls Vtec dowel pins???

Im doing my ls vtec swap and when i go to put the head on the dowel pins dont fit into the block. Im using a b16 on a b18a1 block do i need speacial dowel pins or can i just not put them on and bolt the head to the block without the dowel pins and if i do that what kind of problems can i expect?

golden eagle makes dowels that reduce for an ls vtec. or you can drill the head to fit the dowel. but i dont recommend you do it yourself.

do not try to line the head up with no dowel pins. the head bolts alone wont line it up perfect. ls and b16 dowel pins are different sizes. as suggested, get the golden eagle dowel pins. recommended.
