ok i have a 98 civic ex... now all the wiring matched up fine except the ckp sensor...
my harness has a 3 wire plug on it.. but the b series sensor is a 2 wire connector.. i know some one has had to deal with this before ... please help me..

 

what yr harnes/motor.

Of the top of my head:

you might have incompatible OBD components.

 

its all obd2... that is what i was trying for..
its a 98 ex which is obd2, and a b16a2 out of a 99 si.. which is obd2

the 98 ex is obd2a and 99-00 is obd2b.

 

Why not just go OBD1?

If I were you, I would get Helms manuals for your donor engine and your model car. Look up both harnesses and compare wires.

 

well im running an obd2a to obd2b conversion harness and pt2 ecu... ill go the obd1 route later on.. emissions.. gotta love it.. any way i think i figgured it out.. it runs.. havent had a chance to drive it.. so when i do that tomarro.. ill keep every one posted..
