All my gauges work just no back light to them

Default All my gauges work just no back light to them

just as the topic states i cant get any lights to turn on in my gauges when i turn on my headlights, i checked the fuses they are a-o-k any help is appreciated

bad bulbs.... or if you have a short the gauge lights won't work and you will also have no rear lights so turn on the lights and see if the rear lights work if so its the bulbs in the cluster

my backlights do work however when i turn my right blinker on all my lights dim so i know i have a short there, could that be my problem

had a similar problem,
1. Take off the steering wheel and the plastic covers.
2. Unplug harness on the Combination switch
3. Check for continuity on the switch, shouldnt have more than a 1.0 ohms resistance.
4. Change switch, if necessary, be careful not to bend the pins....otherwise the solder inside will break and will be inopperable, thats what kept me puzzled...Good luck

makes me wonder if my pins are already broken, ill check it out and hope for the best thanks alot
