Default Brake conversion questions

Ok, i converted my 00 EX to disc brakes using 00 SiR parts. Only thing is i had to use a regular Si proportioning valve, since the Sir had ABS and the valve was shaped differently. Everything feels fine, just my pedal is pretty low. Could pads and rotors fix this, or should i upgrade my BB/MC? I was under the impression that the EM1 and EJ8 mc/bb were the same? Is the ABS SiR even bigger? How can you measure the sizes?

its either low because you still have air in the system and its just mushy, or the MC is not properly sized anymore. try to bleed it better, or find out the answer to the MC size. the brake booster, prop valve, rotors or pads have nothing to do with it. (unless your pads have been overheated and crumbling).

and what does this have to do with suspension?

ohh good call. Umm where is the brakes forum. Sorry.

Umm i figured the pads and rotors could cause a low pedal if they're worn excessivly. And i know the brakes are bled well because i used a vacuum bleeder and i bled them manually.

ugh. vacuum bleeders are the worst. HORRIBLE. do it again, the right way. use two ppl.

the piston pushes out so the pad is always in contact with the rotor. doesnt matter if its worn.

civic forum would have at least been able to answer the MC question...

wow thanks for being useless. Had you have actually read my post, you'd see that i vacuum bled the lines to get the large air bubbles out, and then i meticulously bled the rest out using another person, who happens to be an automotive technician of 10 years.

Now being a learning technician myself, i know that the pad contacts the rotor. Hell i think my girlfriend even knows that. But I would like for you to expalin to me how it doesn't matter if either are worn?
