b series clutch question

Default b series clutch question

i have a b16 with a cable lsd tranny in my ef hatch. i'm converting to a hydro lsd tranny. anyone know if I can use the clutch from the cable tranny, or do i need the hydro clutch?

i would say you need the clutch from the hydro tranny. as for the flywheel, i dont know.. if you go to http://www.kragen.com and search under the year that the cable tranny came from and the year that the hydro tranny came from, you can see if the clutch package part numbers are the same. if they are, then u can use what you have.

I believe you need the clutch for the tranny.
hydro to hydro.
cable to cable.

hydro clutch is hydro and cable is cable the spline count on the tranny input shaft are different
and flywheel is the same for both

88-91 j1, s1, and y1 have small trannies.
92-93 ys1 and al hydro trannies are bigger spline.
You han actually install hydro tranny parts on a 92-93 ys1(ls, gsr, and jdm b16) trannies

unfortunatly there are not parts avail. for the jdm s1 and y1 to rebuild them. thats why i want to covert to hydro so i wont be stuck without a tranny down the road
