No, see, the secret to shifting an RSX lies in what I am about to tell you.
Run it normal up until 4th gear. Then, ROMP down into it. When you hear it hit the rev limiter 5 times, shift into third for a quick extra boost, and then up into fifth. Mad VTACK!

i dont get wat your saying u run a rsx thru 4th gear and bounce of rev limiter your doing well over 100 if i remeber right i dont run it thru 4th alot. but 3rd ends at 85mph. but back to the forum i ran mine to bout 100rpms away from rev limiter bout 8,200 rpms or 8,300 its sumthing like that which in my opinion is still pulling well into redline but 7,800 is just way to early to me at least but that jus my opinion but jus do trail and error runs after a while u will learn it took me a lil bit i jus found a straight road and spent a couple passes on it trying the best shift points and i found higher the rev the better!

It has a redline for a reason.
If you want to get good mileage and still have some fun get to know where v-tec kicks in and shift right before then, your mileage will be shockingly high.
If you wanna get down on it just shift a couple hundred before red line until you get to know the car better, that way if your foot on the gas lags then it wont throw it over the redline. It comes down to how comfortable you are with pushing the motor hard and your capability to shift.
