Default any h-t members rebuild transmissions?

I'am in need of having my 91 crx si' tranny built soon. I looked at gearspeed and they want ~$900-1000 not including shipping to them for a rebuilt tranny. I was just wondering if there are any members that rebuild trannies on the side for a decent price. Also, I would like to know if they could install an obx lsd as well

I thought Gearspeed only charges $750 for the rebuild....somebody on the board who is a dealer with them i believe charges that much...I am planning on using them too soon unless there is somebody cheaper.

I've got to say that 900 to 1000 to have gearspeed rebuild the transmission isn't bad!!

Due to the amount of transmissions they go through, they know what really needs to be replaced (and what doesn't). They have in stock all the parts required and that includes things like shims. As a result, they are not faced with having to wait several days to order anything required (that you don't know about until the transmission is apart).

I've rebuilt transmissions and did the YS1 currently in my car. Even with the factory manual, it's hard to look at things like syncros and tell if they really need replacement or not. It's a judgement call and there were things I should have done, but really didn't look bad. The resulting transmission is OK, but not as good as it could have been.
