Default VAFC2 help

ok I set it up the other day in my 00 civic si. then me and my friend started configuring the setup and stuff. Well my buddy unplugged my MAP sensor and my car ran fine. What the hell does that mean!? Then we set my VTEC down to 4800 and it still kicked in at 5500. Does anybody have any diagnosis for either problem?

when you hook it up you dont just splice it into the ecu wires you have to cut them like the books says like this
--------------- --------------
vtec from ecu cut vtec to solinoid
i think purple i think pink

you have to do all like that it says witch wire goes to the ecu and witch wire goes to the car

yeah I cut the VTEC and the Pressure wires. I printed out the wiring diagram from Apexi's website.

ok well then you prob got the wrong ecu but if you dont then you can cut the vtec solinoid wire and run the wire from the vtec controller to the vtec solinoid same for tps and map for tps it is the middle wire i think dont quote me on that and the map sensor is the middle to dont quote me on that neather cause mine i had to connect it straight to the sensors and i heard conecting it to the senors is a better signal 2

The reason I know I connected everything right, is because the guy that had the car before me had all kinds of **** on the car before he sold it to me. But when he had it for sale, it went all back to stock. So I just tapped into the taps he already had on the ECU. All I had to do was double check everything against the Apexi wiring diagram. So I know it's NOT wired wrong...

yeah, why?

toss that thing in the trash, its not going to help you ANY.
well maybe just get your money back. when your engine requires stuff that the vafc will do then its time to convert to obd1 and tune that **** on a dyno. VAFC are trash.

im in idiot though so who knows
