Default ZC needs a tune!!

Alright, this is getting irritating... You'd think a 115 HP ZC engine in a 2100 lb civic hatch would be very quick. However it feels relatively fast up until about 3000-3500 RPM then the power just kinda goes away. How is it possible to be able to swap this thing to OBD1 so i can get Hondata for it?? I can barely stand driving it, it feels like driving a geo metro.

It's not gonna be insane but it'll be quicker than a stock civic. Something's wrong if it feels like it's not making power after 3500. My single cam ZC pulls all the way to redline and wants more.

nah, no codes... the clutch doesn't feel very good, but that shoudln't have much effect on high RPM power. maybe something like the fuel pump is really worn out, the car body is stock with 220K miles so that wouldn't surprise me. BTW where is the fuel filter located on a 90 hatch SI?

Yeah you need to check that baby out. My DOHC ZC pulls harder after 3500 RPMs all the way up the powerband.

that sounds exactly like my problem. Mine has the PM6 computer too. changed the fuel filter the other day too and didn't really help out either. that was really annoying because the fuse diagram for underhood was missing so it was really messy because i didn't get to run the fuel through the engine with the pump off. yeah man, this is really annoying i wish i could just switch to OBD1 and use hondata but it looks rather spendy, time consuming and attentive. Ideally for a performance upgrade you can pick 2 out of them 3 but in this situation it's all 3.

i was wondering if the timing being off one tooth would steal give u enough power down low to burn off thr tires and also i was thinking could the two wires for the cam angle sensor could be mixed up
