00 b16 a/c compressor good?

00 b16 a/c compressor good?
i have a 00 si and my a/c compressor went bad.....so i got anothe a/c compressor from a guy a know. alright my question is...should the very end spin while it is off the car? the part where the belt goes spins...but the very end doesnt. so is it bad?

No. The end part is the clutch and the part where the belt goes on is what gets engaged when the electric clutch engages.
You should be able to turn the clutch part though if the inlet and outlet are free on the compressor.
